With weekly aligner changes, you’re on your way to the smile you want even faster. Depending on your response to aligner treatment, particularly in mature adults, we may consider longer periods between aligner changes.
Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible. Its like invisible braces.
The Invisalign® aligners are removable for mealtimes and snacks, enabling you to eat and drink whatever you want without worrying about foods getting stuck in or damaging your braces.
Brush and floss as normal. There is no need to acquire special tools to clean your teeth. Invisalign® braces let you maintain your normal brushing and flossing habits with no need to meticulously clean around wires and brackets.
Invisalign aligner treatment is ideal for your busy schedule, since you only need fewer visits to the dentist and straightens crooked teeth in less time than traditional braces.
This problem occurs when there is an overlap between the upper teeth and the lower teeth. In some cases, jaw pain and TMJ can be a result.
This is the opposite of an overbite and occurs when the lower teeth overlap with the upper teeth. In some cases, jaw pain and TMJ can be a result.
When there isn’t enough room in the mouth for all of the teeth to be in normal alignment, this can occur. It can lead to tooth decay and gum disease.
This occurs when the bite meets unevenly. It can lead to uneven wear, bone erosion and gum disease.
If the jaw grows abnormally or there are missing teeth in the mouth, large gaps can occur.
At your initial consultation, we will discuss your orthodontic needs and evaluate whether Invisalign treatment is right for you.
We will use a scanner such as the iTero® digital scanning system to create fast, precise 3D digital images of your teeth. Then we will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth and treatment time. You’ll even get to see how your teeth will move and preview your new smile.
Your custom-made aligners will be made of Invisalign’s proprietary SmartTrack® material. They’re virtually invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them during your teeth straightening.
Wear your Invisalign clear home aligners 20 to 22 hours a day for the best results, and take them out only to eat, brush, and floss.
As you wear each set of home aligners, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place. We may recommend that you begin wearing a new set of aligners every week and schedule checkups every six weeks or so.
Invisalign’s nearly invisible aligners straighten teeth by applying a small and consistent amount of pressure, gradually pushing teeth into perfect formation. Aligners are to be worn around the clock and only removed to eat or drink. Dr. Korat will provide you with several weeks of aligners in advance and they will be changed every week or two, as directed by your doctor.
It’s never too late to straighten your smile with Invisalign. Invisalign is a great choice for teens and adults.
Unlike traditional braces, there is no painful application procedure or tedious adjustment visits. During the first day that you use each set of Invisalign® aligners, you may feel some discomfort. Don’t worry, that’s normal. That’s because the aligner is gently moving your teeth. In most cases, the discomfort passes within the first day. And can be treated with over the counter pain medication.
Your Invisalign teeth straightening treatment time will depend on the current alignment of your teeth and your smile goals. Invisalign generally works in about 12-18 months depending on the severity of the case.
The invisible aligners are designed to fit the wearer as snugly and comfortably as possible, creating little to no interference with speaking or everyday activities. Some Invisalign patients may experience a slight lisp when speaking during the first few days, but this subsides as the aligners feel more natural
No, your lifestyle will be the same and you will be able to remove the aligners to eat, brush and floss as usual. You will be able to go about your day to day activities and most people will not even know that you have them in.
Since your aligners are removable, there are no foods you MUST avoid. When wearing metal braces that can’t be removed you must be VERY careful to avoid sticky and hard to remove foods. This is not the case with clear braces. Eat what you love! Just remember to pick foods that are great for your dental (and whole-body) health.
Invisalign home aligners are easy to care for! Just brush them gently and rinse them in warm (not hot) water. That’s it!

You can even take them out for special occasions like a big date or job interview. Just remember to wear them as instructed for at least 20-22 hours a day for best results.
More complex cases, such as severe overcrowding or overbites, may require more aligners and a longer treatment time, which can increase the overall cost.
The longer your treatment takes, the more aligners you will need, which can increase the cost.
Some dental insurance plans cover a portion of the cost of Invisalign treatment. We can check with your insurance provider to see if you have coverage for orthodontic treatment.
